So I was thinking last night that in the near future children are going to start dying from obesity maybe before their parents die. There are so many sugars and fats in processed foods and for some children, that is all their parents feed them. These children are like the ducks that are force fed until their livers become swollen for foie gras, but in this case its their parents force feeding them out of pure laziness or ignorance. I wonder how many children and people will have to die before the FDA starts to regulate food? Or when will people rebel against the corporations controlling our food? I went back to work today and the faculty room was filled with cookies, sticky buns and other bad choices and it really wasn't that hard to say no. This diet is my form of protest, I hope you will join me.
